Our Nature's Breath (NAB-NGO) Initiative, in collaboration with secondary schools, is making remarkable progress. On Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, another exciting chapter unfolded for the NAB team at Bilingual Grammar School Molyko (BGS).
The enthusiasm radiating from the students as they delve into critical environmental issues is truly inspiring. Our mission is to educate and empower young minds to #beatplasticpollution, champion #environmental awareness, and take meaningful #climateaction within their homes, schools, communities, and across our nation.
For over 80% of the students, this marked their initial encounter with the significance of a clean environment and the detrimental impacts of plastic pollution. They witnessed practical demonstrations on efficient waste management practices both at home and within their school premises. Additionally, they grasped the pressing reality of the ongoing changes in our country attributed to #climatechange. Most importantly, they learned how collective efforts can drive #climateaction, addressing the multitude of environmental challenges that confront our world today.
At NAB, we firmly believe in the power of environmental education and awareness, especially among young individuals. This conviction drives our unwavering commitment to championing #environmental and #climateaction initiatives. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the administration of BGS Molyko Buea and other schools that continuously support our endeavors with open arms. Our aspiration is that in the near future, Environmental and Climate Change Education will hold a more prominent place in school curricula at all levels. Until that day arrives, we persist in our mission through extracurricular activities and the establishment of environmental clubs.
